Finnegan Liam Beebe Spillane

The pictures speak for themselves, don't they? We had been told that boys are pretty easy to identify. Apparently Finn wanted to make it very, very clear!

We went for our second trimester ultrasound today. I followed the directions and made sure my bladder was full. I think it was twice the size of the baby. Finn was on the move and our ultrasound tech was new to the profession. Therefore, it took a little extra time and the help of an ultrasound sage who happened by to make sure all the necessary shots were taken. We saw (in addition to the determining organ): a heart with four chambers; the stomach; the bladder; two kidneys; the spine; ribs; other skeletal components; the brain; legs; arms; eyes; nose; and fingers and toes!

We were both pretty overwhelmed by the images. James' little sniffles in the dark were a testament to that.
